Our Pledge

Argo's core values neatly align with the typical work ethic and passion that augments the high skills and vast experience that veterans bring. Argo's recruitment of veterans is boosted by adverts placed via the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) and Tech Vets. Many of the existing employees were recruited following recommendations from existing Argo employees. As the company increases its veteran footprint, we hope to exploit our growing connections with the Armed Forces.

In support of this, the company have appointed two internal mentor/advisors to support and help service leavers with the transition to Argo's civilian workforce and customer environments.

Argo is proud to hold the Armed Forces Covenant (AFC) silver award. Awarded 17th June 2022

Our Involvement

“The Armed Forces Covenant (AFC) framework for veterans to gain employment is in place at Argo but like other Argo employees who are veterans, we want to build on the work already done. There is a collective belief that the AFC is not just about helping veterans in the corporate way of life. In recognising what veterans have to offer, the opportunity to fully employ veterans’ skills and experience, is an act of business, not charity.”

“Argo is a strong supporter of the AFC, we are actively seeking and recruiting ex-military personnel to support their transition to find a new civilian career; translating skills, experience and qualifications into a successful civilian life. The AFC aligns closely with Argo's values to operate with integrity, respect, sustainability, and social responsibility. These values help us to build a strong and professional business culture, which our workforce embodies.”

Chris
DevSecOps Engineer and Chief Operating Officer

“As an ex military man, I reflect on my own personal journey into civilian life, which in all honesty was challenging, raising questions such as “are my skills transferrable?” or “do people really want ex-military personnel?”. Having the AFC to assist in the transition from military to civilian employment, within companies that support this framework, can only be a positive and reassuring influence during the transition. Now that I'm in a position to proactively assist and support others going through this change, I take pleasure in being a partner of the AFC.”
